Well, first off I don’t really watch that much television due to my busy schedule. Most of the time I catch my news on the internet or while I am driving home or going to a job location. When I finally watch the television, their are many channels that I learn a lot from and some shows I just cant believe their being aired. An example of a television show that is incredibly ridiculous is Flav a Flav, I can not believe people actually watch this show, where making this man a millionaire. I feel at times television should be filtered before airing because some of these shows are just getting insanely dumb and making the watcher get down to their level at times. I personally feel that watching networks like Discovery Channel, Food Network, The Learning Channel, these really interest people’s way of thinking. If only class was taught like this where there is no professor and that we just watch television on history it makes it more interesting to me, and to visually see what it was like it would be hard for me to forget it.

           The Future for television I feel is that you will be able to watch a show whenever you want to. It will be like the internet you go on the main page and pick exactly what you want and there will be no advertisements. I feel too much of everything we do is advertisements and we let the advertisers put up anywhere is possible which i feel should be filtered.

Media that I consume is from the web, this is where I get most of my information from. Also like many I listen to the radio and get a lot of information at times from 101o.Another means of communication is from newspapers that I read, The Record is the paper that I read primarily everyday and skim through to see what’s going on in the world as well as the local section. At times I will pick up a magazine most likely when I am getting my haircut and usually pick up the car magazines to see what new cars are coming out.Most of this media that I consume is free because I don’t pay the internet bill, or the cable bill, or the newspaper fees when delivered at my house. I personally feel that I am getting a great deal with all the media I consume. I feel that I am not getting ripped off at all, considering that most of the media that I consume is free, esp. that I can just go on the internet because that is a great source of media.

Media Art and Economics sounds like a very interesting class. I find it to be very interesting for a few reasons, one is that I enjoyed taking media and technology with Prof. Jane Pirone and learned  a lot. One primary example I would say is learning how to build a webpage. Another main reason why I took this class is because it deals with economics around the world.  Also while our first meeting “in class”I love that we will be talking about starting our own business of some sort. And last but not least how great to be in class at home!!!!
